She was born to Bert and Annie B. Coffey in Caldwell, Idaho on December 30, 1912. Loving and devoted wife to Dr. Robert W. Hall for 51 years, who preceded her in death in 1993. Irene was raised in Emmett, Idaho before moving to Portland, Oregon and then to San Francisco, CA where she met her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family and a multitude of friends. In the early days, she volunteered for Junior Aid at St. Joseph's Hospital. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and was a member of the Stockton Golf and Country Club. Irene also enjoyed many family outings skiing on the Delta and Lake Tahoe. Irene and her late husband traveled to many countries during their marriage and enjoyed collecting mementoes from each adventure. Irene loved to share her numerous travel stories with her friends and family which allowed her to remember her late husband. Survivors include son, Robert H. Hall and his wife, Beverly of Valley Springs, son, Garney B. Hall and his wife Vicky of Arroyo Grande, and daughter Rita Carnes and her husband Stephen of Morro Bay. Grandchildren, Garney W. Hall and his wife Debbie, Tammy L. Nelson, and Lindsey Barger. Great grandsons, Robert and Joshua Nelson, and nieces Karen Buckter, Susan Hall, Carolyn Bengler, Ann Marie Goodwin, and GiGi Goldman. Preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Garney Coffey of Pocatello, Idaho. A Funeral Service will be held at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton on Monday, August 16, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. Committal: Parkview Cemetery.
