Carl was born February 13, 1932, in Waterbury, CT and raised in Phoenix, Arizona before moving to California. He lived in Stockton for 36 years and worked in Telecommunications for 15 years before retiring. He held a 1st class radio license and was a ham radio operator with extra license privilege for over 40 years. He was a nationally known watercolorist with signature membership in the American Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society and Watercolor West. Survivors: wife, Catherine L. Miller of Stockton; son, Craig V. Miller of Ottawa, Canada; daughter, C. Lynn Sallady of Stockton; two sisters, Carol Schmalian of Mineola, TX and Joyce Williams of Phoenix, AZ and three grandchildren. A Remembrance of his Life will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Methodist Church, 1625 N. Lincoln, Stockton, CA 95204.
