Donald "Wayne" Peirsol 
August 10, 1938 - August 4, 2004



Donald "Wayne" Peirsol, 65, suffered a major heart attack and died on 
Wednesday, August 4, 2004 in Perth, Australia where he had lived for many 
years. Wayne was born August 10, 1938 in Ogallala, Nebraska and moved with his 
family to Stockton, CA in 1943. He graduated from Stockton Junior College in 
1956 & served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Rankin until his discharge in 
1959. He returned to Stockton where he worked for the Port of Stockton in 
various positions from 1959 to 1971. In 1971 he and his family immigrated to 
Australia where he lived until his death. He lived in Sydney, Australia for a 
few years until moving to Perth where he managed a trucking company in both 
Perth and Carnavon. He returned to Stockton several times to visit when his 
family found he had developed a strong Australian accent. Although, Wayne 
always said even his close friends in Australia said he still sounded like 
a "Yank".
Wayne is survived by his wife, Gis Peirsol of Perth, Australia; his son, Donald 
Peirsol of Modesto, CA; his daughter, Shelley Noy of Perth, Australia, her 
husband Grant and granddaughters, Rebecca, Melissa and Emily. Also his sisters, 
Connie Conger of Stockton, CA, Vera Peirsol of Stockton, CA; his brother, Vic 
Peirsol of Shoreline, WA; brother-in-law, Ronnie Conger of Stockton, CA and 
nephews and nieces who will certainly miss Uncle Wayne's humor.
