Marguerite Abed Hanania 
April 22, 1927 - August 21, 2004 



  Marguerite Abed Hanania, age 77 years, entered into rest at her Stockton 
residence, in the presence of her loving relatives, after an illness. Mrs. 
Hanania was born on April 22, 1927 in Jaffa, Palestine, the daughter of Mr. 
Abed Issa Hanania and Mrs. Tuffa Emseis. She was homemaker for most of her 
adult life, and found deep joy in caring for her extended family of nieces and 
nephews. She enjoyed cooking and was a warm and caring person who was loved, 
admired and respected by all. Mrs. Hanania was devoted to her Christian 
Orthodox faith, and was a laudable example of dedication, love, charity to 
others, honesty and other virtues worthy of imitation.
She was a beloved aunt to Abed, William, Basam, Nadia, and Nader, Tuffa, 
Robert, Sonya, Nabil and Sami and Tuffa Hanania; dearest great-aunt to numerous 
great-nieces and great-nephews. Also survived by a host of other loving 
relatives. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jarias, Issa and Sami 
Hanania. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Friends are invited to attend visitations from 3 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, August 
24, at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street in Stockton, 
where a Trisagion Service will be celebrated at 7 PM. Funeral services will be 
at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church, 920 
W. March Lane in Stockton. Rev. Father Luke Palumbias, officiating. Committal 
and interment will be at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, Harding Way at Cemetery 
Lane in Stockton.
