Ida Vare Vomocil 
February 12, 1921 - August 21, 2004



  Ida Vare Vomocil, 83, of Stockton, passed away at home on August 21, 2004. 
She was born in Iowa on February 12, 1921 and has lived in Stockton for 64 
years. She was a homemaker for 63 years as well as a nurse in the Navy. Mrs. 
Vomocil was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for 25 years of service to the Boy 
Scouts of America, was a foster mother to several children and a member of the 
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 57 years. 
She is survived by her husband of 63 years John Vomocil of Stockton; children 
Leslie Vomocil of Pioneer, CA, Boyd Vomocil of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Terry 
Vomocil of Maryland; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at the 
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7030 N. El Dorado St. Visitation 
will be on Wednesday from 12-5 pm at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. 
California St., Stockton. (209)464-4711. Committal, Cherokee Memorial Park, 
Lodi. 
Arrangements under the direction of Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary.
