Valley Springs
Robert "Bobby" Araquistain 
February 18, 1949 - June 30, 2004



Bobby was born in French Camp on February 18, 1949. His last five years he 
lived in Valley Springs. He passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, 
at home, after his battle with cancer, with his wife by his side. Bobby was a 
shoe repairman for many years and a truck driver for the last ten years. He 
loved fishing and just driving around the mountains not really heading anywhere 
special. For those who knew and loved him, his memory will live on. 
Bobby is lovingly survived by his wife, Diana; two sons, Jeremy Atkission of 
Stockton and Daniel "Cotton" Atkission of Valley Springs; four daughters, 
Sheila Topping of Stockton, Cori Mello 
of North Carolina, Shannon Mache 
of Petaluma, and Bobbie Lynn of North Carolina. His brothers and sisters-in-
law, Larry and Donna Araquistain of Valley Springs, 
and Peter and Holly Araquistain 
of Stockton; his thirteen grand-
children; also, two nieces, Lisa Ringlein of Clovis, and Kimberly Araquistain 
of Ceres; two nephews, Jim Araquistain of Sacramento and Aaron Araquistain of 
Stockton; three great-nieces and five great-nephews. Bobby is affectionately 
remembered and loved by his aunts, cousins, and many, many friends. 
A Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at the family home.

Memorial contributions: Plants/ flowers sent to the home will be planted in a 
special section of 
the yard in memory of Bobby.
