She was born July 7, 1948, in Madera. Ms. Olvera lived in Acampo for most of her life. She attended the Activity Center for the Developmentally Disabled in Stockton for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, and attending her Special Ed Cathecism classes with grandma Teresa, Rita and Rose. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Olvera, of Acampo; sisters, Teresa Calderon and Barbara Mellado, both of Acampo, Margaret De La Cruz, of Stockton, Joanne Beaver, of Madera, and Anita Gleason, of Ontario; brothers, Walter Elner, of Fresno and Ronnie Elner, of Porterville. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Olvera; and sister, Virginia "Ginger" Flores. A funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Committal will be held in the Devotions Mausoleum at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics, 3480 Buskirk Ave., No. 340, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523; or to Special Education Ministry of the Diocese of Stockton, 1125 N.
