Jake Junior Pickett

May 11, 1935 — Dec. 6, 2005

Services will be Tuesday for Tracy resident Jake Junior Pickett, 70, who died 
Dec. 6 at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.

Mr. Pickett was born in Morton, Miss. He lived in Stockton 18 years, and then 
in Tracy for five. He worked as a laborer in crop farming for 20 years. He 
also volunteered with the Stockton Fire Department and as a Nightingale 
Elementary School crossing guard in Stockton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Pickett is survived by his ex-wife, Christine Cassillas of Tracy; 
children, Loretta Amick and her husband, Ray, of Tracy, Michelle Pickett, and 
her fiancé, Lorenzo Soto, of Stockton, Jake Pickett Jr., Charles Pickett and 
Patricia Pickett, all of Stockton, and John Pickett, and his wife, Christal, 
of Porterville; grandchildren, Chrsitine and Arissa Amick, Angelo and Alex 
Soto, Lupé, Cheyenne and Jesse Pickett; two brothers; and two sisters.

Tuesday’s services will begin at 10 a.m. at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland 
Ave. Visitation will be observed from noon to 5 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. 
Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.

Association, 1231 W. Robinhood Drive Suite A-1, Stockton 95207.
