Policarpio June 30, 1916 — Oct. 2, 2005 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday for Pablo M. Policarpio, 89, who died Sunday at his home. Born in Magalang, Philippines, Mr. Policarpio lived in Tracy 10 years and lived previously in Modesto and Los Angeles. He served in the Philippine Army during World War II and was a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. He loved to watch sports, especially basketball. He also enjoyed keeping up with Philippine current events and the Lottery games. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Mr. Policarpio is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brigida Policarpio of Tracy; children, Ludy Gozun, and her husband, Fred, of Tracy, Nida Gomez, and her husband, Lilan, of Modesto, Luvie DeLa Cruz, and her husband, Bobby, of Tracy, and Willie Policarpio, and his wife, Dolly, of the Philippines; three sisters; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and grandson Albert Gozun. Friday’s Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Visitation will be observed from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed by a rosary, which will be recited at 7 p.m. at the chapel.
