Edward E. Parvin 
Aug. 21, 1941 - March 8, 2005



Edward E. Parvin, age 62 of Lodi, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 
following a lengthy illness. He was born on August 21, 1941 in Long Beach, CA. 
He grew up in Southern California and moved to Lodi in 1969. He married Mary 
Jean Schauer on May 30, 1970 at Temple Baptist Church in Lodi. The couple made 
their first home in Stockton. Ed was employed by the City of Stockton in the 
Parks and Recreation Department and later for the Police Department as a clerk. 
He retired early because of ill health. They moved to Lodi in 1993.
Ed was an avid sports fan, especially of the Rams. Other favorite teams 
included the Dodgers and the Kings. Previously he was a Lakers fan until he 
moved to this area. He also enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. He loved 
people and became friends with everyone he met. His cat, Ebony, was his 
constant companion.
Survived by his wife, Mary Jean Parvin of Lodi; daughter, Kimberly Parvin of 
southern California; sisters, Mavis Louise Fewell of Anaheim and Nina Joy 
Montgomery of Renton, WA. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at 
Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, with Rev. Fred Jantz of Stockton officiating. 
There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Lodi 
Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 
Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204, PAWS in Galt or the charity of donor's 
choice.
