Stockton
Marjorie Lavonne Perez 
August 19, 1925 - April 10, 2005



Marjorie Lavonne Perez was born on August 19, 1925 in Lincoln, Nebraska and 
passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2005 after a brief illness. She came to 
Stockton with her family in 1947. She worked at the Army Depot for a short time 
and then worked in various clothing stores in Stockton. In 1953 she went to 
work for the San Joaquin County Municipal Court and clerked for many judges 
until her retirement in 1979. After she retired, she and her husband, Joe, 
traveled extensively throughout the United States. She also served as a Pink 
Lady for St. Joseph's Medical Center for more than twenty years and took 
tremendous satisfaction from assisting both the patients and their families in 
the surgical unit.
She was preceded in death by her father, William and mother, Matilda. She is 
survived and is greatly missed by her husband of 39 years, Joe Perez; his 
children, Nanette Fisher (Kevin) and Julie Bussemer, Julie's children, Kevin 
and Michael; her brother, Don Lange and sister, Lois Peterson; nephew, Dick 
Lannee and niece, Diane Tiat. Marge was a kind woman and will be missed greatly 
by her husband, family and many long time girlfriends.
Chapel Service on Thursday, April 14, 1:30 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel. 
Visitation will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 13, from 
1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Private committal 
at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the American Cancer 
Society and Hospice of San Joaquin County.
