Rowland "Rolee" Pitts 
February 22, 1924 - April 6, 2005



Rowland "Rolee" Pitts, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2005. He was 
born on February 22, 1924 in Santa Maria, CA. Rolee was the owner of Rolee 
Plumbing in Manteca. He was an active member of St. Anthony's Church and was 
also an usher. He was also a member of YMA and also of the Tracy Elks Lodge. 
Rolee was also a volunteer fireman for Manteca Fire Department. His hobbies 
included being an avid fisherman and golfing. He loved having coffee and donuts 
with his buddies. "The Strangers Band" was a group that Rolee was the founder 
of in Manteca. He loved playing the bass fiddle and the trumpet. He loved 
spending time with his grandchildren and adored them. he will be remembered as 
a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many who will be deeply 
missed. He was in the United States Navy during WWII and Korean, his duty was 
Radio First Class.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 11, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at 
P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, April 12, at 
1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Final Resting Place is at East 
Union Cemetery.
