Leopoldo Ramirez

Oct. 2, 1928 — Oct. *27, 2005

A memorial Mass will be Monday for longtime Tracy resident Leopoldo Ramirez, 
77, who died Oct. *28, 2005 at a hospital in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Born in Oxnard, Mr. Ramirez lived in Tracy for 53 years. He was a farmer, and 
later, a landscaper until retiring at age 63. He loved spending time with his 
family, working in his vegetable garden and taking morning walks. He 
especially loved traveling to Mexico annually with his wife. He will be missed 
by all who knew him, and he will be remembered as a loving husband, father and 
grandfather. 

Mr. Ramirez is survived by his wife of 49 years, Guadalupe Ramirez; children, 
Celia Gutierrez, and her husband, Jesus, of Tracy, Rigo Ramirez of Patterson, 
Leopoldo Jr. Ramirez of Riverbank, Laura Rivera, and her husband, Savas, of 
Manteca, Maria Harrison, and her husband, Greg, of Livermore, Miguel Ramirez 
of Tracy; grandchildren, Jesse, Alex, Crystal, Andrew, Ariana, Rigo Jr., 
Raymond, Christina, Julie, Nicholas, Brandon, Amanda, Fernando, Janelle, 
Marcos, Morgan and Mark; and great-grandchildren, Anthony and Yvonna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cesario and Zenaida Ramirez; and 
siblings, Aurora Benegas, Pascual Ramirez, Clemente Ramirez and Lupe 
Castellanos.

Monday’s Mass will begin at 5 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. 
Eaton Ave.
