Michael Rice
Michael Leo Rice, 56, of Lodi, died Sept. 25 in a Menlo Park hospital of 
diabetes and renal failure. He was born Nov. 27, 1948, in Willows.

Mr. Rice served in the U.S. Army for six years and was a Vietnam veteran. He 
graduated from Solano College in 1980 with four degrees in banking. He was 
employed by General Mills for 20 years until his retirement. In 1990-91, he was 
awarded safety employee of the year. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Rice, of Lodi; daughter, Terrie Wahlen, of 
Lodi; sisters, Nadine Grayson, of Greenville and Lorraine Moore, of Chico; 
brother, Howard Rice, of Huntsville, Ala.; and one grandson.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Century Assembly Church in 
Lodi.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1524 
McHenry Ave., No. 455, Modesto, CA.

Bay Area Cremation and Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
