Richenberg, 86, of Lodi died Feb. 26 in a local convalescent hospital following a long illness. He was born Sept. 16, 1908 in Saskatchewan, Canada. Mr. Richenberg moved to Lodi as a teenager. He also lived in Orland, Sonora and Menlo Park. He was employed by D & D Tire Shop of Lodi for a few years and in Sonora for two years. In 1949, he purchased the tire shop in Sonora, where he lived until 1963, when he sold the business. He then moved to Menlo Park, where he operated the Motor City Tire Shop with his uncle until his retirement in 1976. Mr. Richenberg returned to Lodi a short time later. Mr. Richenberg enjoyed bowling, baseball and pool. He is survived by two sons, Rolland Richenberg of Rancho Palos Verdes and Doyle Richenberg of Mountain View; two daughters, Francine Wilson of San Jose and Ramona Soverign of Redwood City; one sister, Lena Lanchester of Lodi; six grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Richenberg was preceded in death by his wife, Eveline Richenberg in 1987; and three brothers. The services will be held a 1 p.m. Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home with the Rev. Leo Duncan of Westside Assembly Church officiating. Committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation may be made from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Richenberg’s name to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton, 95204.
