Sophia H. Ruiz

Jan. 19, 1951 — Dec. 11, 2005

Services will be private for homemaker Sophia H. Ruiz, 54, who died Sunday at 
Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.

Born in San Jose, Ms. Ruiz lived in Tracy two years and had previously resided 
in San Jose for 48 years. She loved singing, dancing and music. She enjoyed 
searching for collectables and spending time with her grandchildren.

Ruiz is survived by her mother, Cora Ruiz, of San Jose; children, Sophia 
Aranda, and her husband, Abe, of Tracy, Gabriel Tapia of San Jose, Barbara 
Tapia of Tracy, Diana Tapia of San Jose, Adrian Tapia of Tracy, Michael 
Hernandez of San Jose, Joseph Hernandez of San Jose; siblings, Barbara Ruiz of 
Oregon, Frank Ruiz of San Jose, Rudy Ruiz of San Jose; grandchildren, Vanessa 
Paselio of San Jose, Adrian Tapia of Tracy, Emiliano Tapia of Tracy, Samantha 
Tapia of Gilroy, Gabby Guillen of Tracy, Mia Guillen of Tracy, Christopher 
Tapia of Tracy, Gabriel Tapia of Tracy, and Abram Aranda of Tracy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Ruiz.

Services will be private.

Published on Saturday, December 17, 2005, in the Tracy Press.
