Lucy Alvarado Ramos 
July 6, 1929 - March 5, 2005



Lucy passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 5, 2005. Born July 6, 
1929 in Central, New Mexico to Maximo Alvarado and Rosa Holquin. Our Lord has 
taken her home, after a year and a half of bravely battling cancer. Her memory 
and spirit will live on in our hearts forever! Lucy retired in 1991 from Kraft 
Foods in Modesto, Ca. after 17 years of service. She was a Stockton resident 
for the past 11 years. Her pastimes were volunteering her services at the 
Northeast Community Center, crocheting and baking cookies and breads for all of 
her grandchildren.
Lucy was preceded in death by both parents; first husband, Rosalio Padilla Sr., 
son, Rosalio Padilla Jr., daughter, Esther Padilla; brothers, Augustine, Jimmy 
and Jesse Alvarado; sister, Cecelia Fernandez.
Survived by sons, Alfredo Padilla Sr. of San Rafael, CA., Armando Avalos Jr. of 
Tracy, CA; daughters, Consuelo Serrano (Felipe) of Stockton, CA., Anita Virgen 
(Pedro) of Carson City, Nevada and Lisa Alderete (Alfred) of Modesto, CA; 22 
grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Amelia Masi of Stockton, CA; 
and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Rosary, Sunday, March 
13, at 1:00 p.m., both at Cano Funeral Home; 2164 E. Charter Way, Stockton. 
Mass: Monday, March 14, at 10:00am at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 731 S. 
Cardinal Ave. Committal: Valley Home Memorial Park, 30705 E. Lone Tree Rd., 
Oakdale, CA.
