Dean Rideout 
Dean Roger Rideout, 69, of Galt, died May 27. He was born Nov. 14, 1935, in 
Mineral Point, Wis.

Mr. Rideout moved to California in 1985 and settled in Galt. He served in the 
U.S. Army in Korea. He was self employed as a truck driver for about 53 years. 

He was a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Galt, and was 
very active in the Joseph Project at Family Life Church in Galt. He was also a 
member of the NRA, VFW, American Patriot, was active in World Vision and was a 
Republican. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, fellowship time with his family and 
friends, and spending time with his grandchildren, especially at games.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Rideout, of Galt; daughters, Rhonda 
Rideout, of Madison, Wis., Julie Kelley, of Galt, and Demetria Olivia, of Lodi; 
sons, Lonnie Krebs, of New Glarus, Wis., Kevin Rideout, of Dodgeville, Wis., 
Marshall Krebs, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Jason Harris, of Valley Springs; 
adopted World Vision daughter, Soboko, of South Africa; brother, Howard 
Rideout, of Dodgeville, Wis.; sister, Elenor Grover, of Mesa, Ariz.; 16 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leroy, Lloyd, Wayne and Blaine 
Rideout; and grandson, Joshua Krebs.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shepherd of the Valley 
Lutheran Church in Galt. A memorial service will also be held in Wisconsin. 
There will be no visitation and interment will be held in Wisconsin.

604 E. Street, Galt, CA 95632.
