John Rocha 
John V. Rocha, 79, of Galt, died March 10 at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 
7, 1926, in the Azores and came to the United States in 1953.

He lived in Alvarado and San Rafael before moving to the Galt area in 1961. 

Mr. Rocha owned a dairy on Pringle Avenue and was a member of St. Christopher's 
Catholic Church in Galt. He enjoyed trips to the coast and spending time with 
his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rose Rocha, of Galt; sons, John M., 
George and Frank Rocha, of Galt; daughter, Helen Mello, of Galt; seven 
siblings; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Christopher's Catholic Church. 
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted by Father Jerry Ryle at 11 a.m. 
Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi.

Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
