James Rodgers 
James A. "Jim" Rodgers, 86, of Acampo, died Aug. 10 in a Stockton hospital 
following a brief illness. He was born Dec. 17, 1918, in Lodi.

Mr. Rodgers served in the U.S. Airforce as a propeller specialist for over 40 
years until his discharge. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed flying model 
airplanes.

He is survived by his daughters, Susie Mikan, of Lodi, and Pam Shands, of 
Acampo; sons, Ted Rodgers, of Discovery Bay, and Timm Rodgers, of Arkansas; 
seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Rodgers in 2000.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral 
Home. Committal will follow at Glenview Cemetery in Clements. Visitation will 
be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the 
funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the 
donor's choice.

Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
