Lucille graduated from Lodi Union High School as part of the class of 1941. She worked as a secretary for San Joaquin General Hospital and then Lodi High School. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, sister and a great friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Rusk. "God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me". A golden heart stopped beating, loving hands now rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best". Lucille is survived by her brother, Leon Croce of Lodi; three children, Thomas Rusk, Robert and his wife Janay Rusk of Lodi and Kathleen and her husband Russel Efird of Caruthers, CA. The pride and joy of her life, her 9 grandchildren, Zebullan Brayton, Jillian and Jackelyn Rusk of Lodi, Tommy and Tara Rusk of L.A. and Matthew and his wife Amber, John, Adam and his wife Melanie and Elizabeth Efird of Caruthers, CA. Lucille shared time with her family and friends because she so enjoyed people. She was an active member of the Presentation Church, The Military Wives Club, Widowed Persons of California, and several bridge clubs (she finally bid the best hand). A Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 10:30 AM at the Presentation Church 6715 Leesburg Pl. at Benjamin Holt Dr. Stockton. Burial will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1 PM to 8 PM at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 E. Industrial Way, Lodi. Remembrances may be sent to St. Mary's High School, 5648 N.
