Mr. Shaddle was an engineer at Pac Bell Telephone Co. for more than 30 years before retiring. While in the U.S. Navy, he served in the Korean War and World War II. He was an avid Raiders fan, and loved spending time antiquing with his wife. He loved spending time with his family and following their sporting events. Mr. Shaddle is survived by his wife, Norma June Shaddle; children, John L. Shaddle of Mercer Island, Wash., Thomas P. Shaddle of San Leandro, June A. Shaddle of Sacramento and Patricia A. Speer of Tracy; brothers, Charles Shaddle of Walnut Creek, and William Shaddle of Santa Clara; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Anne and Norma Jean Shaddle. Monday’s Mass will begin at 10 a.m. at Church of the Assumption, 1100 Fulton Ave., in San Leandro. A rosary will be recited Sunday at Guerrero Mortuary Chapel, 407 Estudillo Ave., in San Leandro. Memorial contributions in Mr. Shaddle’s name may be made in the form of donating blood at the American Red Cross. Published on Saturday, December 17, 2005, in the Tracy Press.
