Brenda Shockey

April 5, 1962 — Dec. 28, 2005

Services will be private for homemaker Brenda Shockey, 43, who died Wednesday 
at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.

A native of Durango, Colo., Mrs. Shockey worked as a waitress for 10 years 
before substitute teaching for 5 years for Nye County in Nevada. She became a 
homemaker and was a resident of Tracy for 7 years. She loved to hunt, fish, 
and camp, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Shockey is survived by her husband of 25 years, Stephen Shockey of Tracy; 
children, Stephen J. Shockey, and his wife, Lupita, of Las Vegas and Nichole 
Shockey of Tracy; grandchildren, Faythe Clark and Michael Shockey of Tracy; 
mother, Mary Jane Brewer of Snow Flake, Ariz.; two brothers; and five sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father, Laverne Sandberg.

Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements.
