Emma Spear
Emma Jean Spear, 88, of Lodi, died Sept. 18 in her home. She was born Emma Jean 
Trette on March 1, 1917, in Clayton.

Mrs. Spear was a homemaker and lived in Byron from 1957 to 1972, and then in 
Avery before moving to Lodi in 1989. 

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Spear, of Forestville; brother, Charles 
Trette, of Antioch; and sister, Charlotte Kidd, of Ventura.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Spear in 1989.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Live Oak Cemetery in 
Clayton. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. 
Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.

Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
