Mary Seibel 
Mary R. Seibel, 80, of Lodi, died April 25 in a local convalescent hospital. 
She was born July 18, 1924, in Fresno.

Mrs. Seibel lived in Lodi for 77 years. She was employed as a licensed 
vocational nurse for St. Joseph's Hospital in OB, and at Fairmont 
Rehabilitation Hospital for 30 years until her retirement. 

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a member of Ila Neb 
Court No. 51 of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. She was a former 
member of the Lotus Club of Ila Neb Court, and a past Worthy Matron of the 
Order of the Eastern Star, Woodbridge Oaks Chapter No. 118. She was also a 
former deputy grand matron for the California Order of the Eastern Star in 
1991. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard W. "Dick" Seibel, of Lodi; 
sons, Richard J. Seibel, of Alaska, and Wayne D. Seibel, of Lodi; and four 
grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Dr. Alan Kimber of the First United Methodist Church, and 
the Order of the Eastern Star, Woodbridge Oaks Chapter No. 118 officiating. 
Committal will follow at Harmony Grove Cemetery in Lockeford. There will be no 
visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Northern 
California, P.O. Box 1824, Sacramento, CA 95812; or to the Parkinson 
Institution for Research and Patient Care, 1170 Morse Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94089-
1605.

Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
