Irene Sewell 
Irene P. Sewell, 79, of Roseville and formerly of Lodi and Stockton, died May 
13 in a Rocklin care home of cancer. She was born Irene P. Chapman on May 29, 
1925, in Stockton, where she was raised.

Mrs. Sewell graduated from Delta College in 1975, and then worked as an LVN at 
St. Joseph's Hospital for 15 years. She retired in 1999 From Roseville 
Convalescent Hospital. 

She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Alexander, of Mississippi., Judy 
Stevens, of Virginia., Debbie Davis, of Hawaii, Patti Garibaldi, of Oregon, and 
Chris Pace, of Texas; sisters, Doris Williams, of Stockton, Virginia, of Walnut 
Creek, and Alice Potter, of Lodi; brothers, Walter Chapman, of Oregon and Jimmy 
Chapman, of Stockton; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Agbert W. Sewell and Clyde Hartwell 
Pace; sons, Andrew and Clyde Jr. Pace; sisters, Harriett Henry and Audrey 
Hines; brothers, Bob, Julius, Danny, Tom, and Hyrum Chapman.

Inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.

Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
