Mary A. Shelton 
May 5,1919 - March 18, 2005



Mary A. Shelton, departed this life on Friday, March 18, 2005, she was born in 
1919 in Natchitoches LA to Allen and Vicy McGaskey. She is the mother of 9 
children. She moved to Stockton CA in 1945 where she lived until her death. She 
was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served 
faithfully. Mary was employed with Stockton Unified School District in the Food 
Service Department for many years.
She leaves to morn her loss, 3 sons, Raymond Williams of Beaumont TX, Larry 
Williams and Perry (Loretta) Shelton of Stockton, CA; 1 daughter, Fayetta James 
of Stockton, CA, another daughter-in-law, Anita Williams of Stockton, CA; 1 
sister, Earlee (Bird) Liggins of Stockton, CA; 1 brother, Dennis (Dorothy) 
McGaskey of Natchitoches LA; seventeen grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren and one niece Elaine Glenn of Stockton, CA.
Visitation and Viewing will be Thursday, March 24, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. until 
8:00 p.m. at Jessie E. Cooley Jr. Funeral Home, 640 N. California St. Services 
will be held on Friday, March 25, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Missionary 
Baptist Church, 1851 W. Hazelton Ave. Stockton, CA. 95206.
