She was born March 1, 1905, in Arkansas, where she was raised and attended school. Mrs. Smith married Robert Clyde Smith and then worked as a teacher. She and her husband moved to California in 1930 and settled in Acampo in 1943. She worked as a cook for Houston School for several years. She also worked as a private seamstress, did other part time seasonal work and was a homemaker. Lee Ona Smith She enjoyed gardening and canning, especially jams jellies, dehyrated fruits and raisins. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Clydie Senecal, of Acampo, Evelyn Tatum, of Stockton and Shirley Baker, of Lodi; seven grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith and three grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Newcastle District Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
