Fred Syrock 
Fred Syrock, 94, of Galt, died Aug. 25. He was born Oct. 24, 1911, in 
Cederville, Ark.

He lived in Van Buren, Ark., before moving to the Galt area 40 years ago. He 
was a materials handler who enjoyed whittling wood. 

He is survived by his sons, Mel, Don, Charles and Gary; daughters, Beverly and 
Mary; sister, Kory, of Arkansas; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Ben Salas Funeral Home 
in Galt. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. 
Burial will be at Galt Cemetery.
