Tubaugh Nov. 28, 1921 — Feb. 2, 2006 Sports enthusiast and longtime Tracy resident James W. Tubaugh, 84, died Thursday at Tracy Convalescent Hospital. A native of Ravenna, Ohio, Mr. Tubaugh lived in Tracy more than 25 years. He was a tool and die machinist and retired about 20 years ago from his own business, Hayward Industrial Tool and Machine, in Hayward. He played semiprofessional football. He loved all sports, and he enjoyed being a spectator as much as being a participant. He had a special love for the Cleveland Browns and the Oakland Raiders. He was a member of the Tracy Breakfast Lions Club, Elk, Moose and Masonic lodges. Mr. Tubaugh is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marilyn “Lynn” Tubaugh of Oakland; daughter, Diana “Dee” Bacigalupi of San Francisco; siblings, Robert Tubaugh of Florida and Eileen Simpson of Ohio; grandchild, Daniel Quaresma of Virginia; and five stepchildren, and their families. No services will be conducted at Mr. Tubaugh’s request. Contributions in Mr. Tubaugh’s name may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice. Published on Friday, February 03, 2006, in the Tracy Press.
