The eldest of fourteen children, Alice was born in Leflore, Oklahoma. After being married for several years, the family moved to California in 1941 where she toiled alongside her husband and children as migrant workers for several year. Later, Alice worked as a seasonal cannery worker. Besides being known as a hardworking woman, her family and friends remember her as a woman of God who was faithful member of Full Gospel Tabernacle. She was a devoted matriarch who would do anything for her family and an unmerciful opponent in table games. If you ever met Alice, you loved her. Alice is survived by her five daughters, Wanda Marshall, Pauline Smith, Margaret Miller and Janet Lockhart, all of Stockton and Oleda Anderson of Red Bluff. She left twenty four grandchildren and numerous great granchildren. Alice is also survived by seven loving brothers and sisters. Viewing will be at Wallace-Martin Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2006. Her homegoing celebration will be at the Park View Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, April 15, at 12:45 p.m. She will be interred at Park View Cemetery, French Camp.
