Helen Thomassen 
Helen Thomassen, 97, of Galt, died June 17. She was born on May 5, 1908, in 
Iowa.

She moved to the Long Beach area when she was young. She graduated from 
college, having been a teacher. She then worked as a bookkeeper for 45 years 
for Davis LeGrand in Southern California. She moved to the Galt area in 1997 
and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church. She enjoyed walking, 
gardening, and grew all her own vegetables for canning. 

She is survived by her sister, Agnes Tiren; two grandsons and one great-
grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Thomassen, and only child, Aaron 
Delaine Thomassen.

There is no visitation and committal will be at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. A 
virtual register book may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
