Genevieve L. Thumlert

Genevieve L. Thumlert, 86, or Lodi passed away Monday,  August 15th in 
Stockton, following an extended illness. Mrs. Thumlert was born January 9th 
1919 and has lived in Lodi since 1948. 

Mrs l Thumlert served as a nurse in the US Army during WWII and was honorably 
discharged as a Lieutenant. She was employed by the Visiting Nurses Association 
for many years prior to retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist 
Church of Lodi. She was a past member of : Lodi Garden Club, San Joaquin 
Historical Society and the American Legion Post #22 Auxiliary  She enjoyed 
gardening, needlepoint, and especially knitting. 

She is survived by her daughter, Diana and her husband, Robert Landmann of 
Stockton; four grandchildren: Lindsay Stephens, Julie Landmann, john Landmann 
and Jennifer Thumlert; one great grandchild, Shelby Stephens; daughter-in-law, 
Heidi Thumlert; sister, Dorothy Adams of Imperial, NE; brother, Don Cox of 
Imperial, NE. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roland D. Thumlert in 1994; son, 
Stephen R. Thumlert in 2003; and by a brother, Robert Cox. 

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am at the Lodi Memorial 
Cemettery.

Vicitation will be Wednesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Gierhart-Wells & Donahue 
Funeral Home. 

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
