Maria Torres 
Maria Isidra Torres, 71, of Galt, died May 9 in a local hospital of natural 
causes. She was born Maria Isidra Felix on May 15, 1933, in Zacatecas, Mexico.

Mrs. Torres lived in Galt for 15 years and in Thornton for 13 years. 

She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren. 
She attended St. Anne's Church in Lodi and Mater Ecclesiae in Thornton.

She is survived by her husband, Ildefonso R. Torres, of Galt; daughters, 
Oralia "Lala" Arias, Maria C. Rivas, Petra Arce, and Enriqueta Torres, all of 
Galt; sons, Antolino Torres and Francisco Torres, both of Galt; 11 
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Mater Ecclesiae in Thornton with 
Father Jairo officiating. Committal will be held at Galt Cemetery. Visitation 
will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at Ben Salas Funeral Home.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
