Manuel Velazquez 
February 23, 1938 - March 28, 2005



Manuel Velazquez, a former resident of Hayward, now residing in Lathrop, passed 
away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 28, 2005. Manuel was employed with 
Waste Management for over 33 years and a member of Local 70. Over the years, 
Manuel and Maria traveled to their home land of Puerto Rico many times, a trip 
that Manuel always looked forward to. In his pastime he enjoyed a good game of 
domino's, but his great love was fishing. He loved spending time with his love, 
Maria and sharing time with his grandchildren and children that always brought 
a smile to his face. It brought great joy to him to be a part in their special 
events of life.
Beloved husband of Maria Velazquez; devoted father of Yolanda Infante and her 
husband, Alberto, Juanita Velazquez and Joseph M. Velazquez and his wife, Irma, 
all of Hayward; loving grandfather of Briana, Leticia and Orlando Infante, Leon 
Acevedo, Nico Velazquez, Micky, Dominic and Cierra Diaz, Joseph and Janessa 
Velazquez; brother of Margarita Neives, Ester, Rosa and Juan Velazquez and 
Ramona Silva.
Visitation: Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friends are invited to the 
evening service on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Sorensen Bros. 
Mortuary, 1140 B. St., Hayward and on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. a 
funeral service will be held. Interment: Holy sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.
