Robert Raye ‘Bob’ Williams Sr.

April 10, 1937 — Feb. 5, 2006

A memorial service will be Friday for Robert Raye “Bob” Williams Sr., 68, who 
died Sunday at University Medical Center in Fresno.

Born in Modesto, Mr. Williams was raised in Tracy and graduated from Tracy 
Joint Union High School in 1955. He was a fireman for Southern Pacific 
Railroad for several years. He then worked at Liquid Carbonics in Oakland 
where he enjoyed a successful career as the transportation regional manager. 

After he retired in 1996, he moved to Madera where he made many friends. He 
enjoyed the companionship of his dogs, Holly and Ginger. He was an avid fan of 
racing, especially NASCAR. He loved attending his grandchildren’s activities. 
He was a man of his word, dependable and was devoted to his family. He will be 
deeply missed.

Mr. Williams is survived by his children, Robert Williams Jr., and his wife, 
Charlotte, of Patterson, Cori Meyers, and her husband, Greg, of Madera, and 
Richard Williams, and his wife, Allycia, of Stockton; brother, Gary Williams, 
and his wife, Beverly, of Tracy; grandchildren, Kacie and Tyler Williams, 
Trevor, Sierra and Mikenzi Meyers, Angela, Ashley and Alayna Williams; niece, 
Jackie Anzaldo, and her husband, Alex, of Bakersfield; nephew, Kenny Williams, 
and his wife, Sylvia, of Turlock; three grandnieces; and two grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Helen Williams.

Friday’s memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. 
Central Ave.

Society, Relay For Life of Madera, 2222 W. Shaw Ave., Suite 201, Fresno 93711.
