Lydia Wiens 
Lydia Wiens, 97, of Lodi, died June 17 at a local hospital of congestive heart 
failure. She was born Lydia Enns on Feb. 3, 1908, in North Dakota.

Mrs. Wiens was a resident of San Jose for 65 years before relocating to Lodi 12 
years ago. She was a homemaker and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. 

She enjoyed ceramics, crossword puzzles and reading her Bible.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Heinricks and Dorothy Buller, both of 
Lodi, and Grace Blankenship, of San Jose; sons, Harold Wiens, of Colorado, and 
Lloyd Wiens, of Hawaii; sister, Ruth Schmidt, of Greeley, Colo.; brother, John 
Enns, of Las Vegas, Nev.; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two 
great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Memorial Park 
with the Rev. Boman of Blasom Valley Bible Church officiating.

Darling Fischer is in charge of arrangements.
