Windsor, 70, of Stockton and formerly of Woodbridge, died Aug. 23 at a Stockton hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1934. Mr. Windsor was a mathematics teacher at Stockton Unified Schools for 31 years and was the golf coach at Edison High School from 1973-77. He enjoyed golfing and played the game even after losing his right arm after falling from a slide at age 13. In 1954, he was the first Stockton Athlete of the Year. He won four National Arm Amputee Golf Tournaments in 1958, and also from 1960-62. He retired the perpetual trophy for winning the championships three consecutive years. He competed against two-armed golfers and became the low gross champion at Swenson Park in 1961 and the Van Buskirk champion in 1964. From 1973-77, he was the winner of the Western Amputee Golf Tournament Arm Championship. His best all-time tournament score was 72. He is survived by his daughter, Lynnette Yount, of San Diego; sister, Rita Willey, of Stockton; and brothers, Hugh and John Windsor, of Stockton. Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements.
