Wyss, 89, of Livingston and formerly of Galt, died June 16 in a Hughson hospice. He was born Sept. 29, 1915, in Stratton, Neb. Mr. Wyss entered the U.S. Army and served in Europe during World War II. He married Lottie in 1946, and they made their home in Stockton. He and his wife later moved to Galt, where they farmed. In 2003, he moved to Livingston to be near his daughter. He was a member and deacon of the Harold Baptist Church and enjoyed watching professional bull riding on TV. He is survived by his son, Richard Williford, of Stockton; daughters, Betty Champion, of Stockton, and Mary Boe, of Livingston; brothers, Howard and Wilbur Wyss, both of Stratton, Neb.; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie, in 2003. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi.
