John B. Yep 
January 19, 1906 - April 5, 2005



John B. Yep, born on January 19, 1906, John passed away peacefully at the age 
of 99 on Tuesday April 5, 2005. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 68 
years, Constance Yep (deceased February 28, 2004). As a young man in San 
Francisco, John owned and operated the California Shrimp Company. He 
subsequently moved to Stockton where he was a successful businessman and 
managing co-owner of Sung Sung Market for over 40 years. John and Connie's 
ballroom dancing, international travel and gourmet cooking were among John's 
favorite pastimes. he was a proud member of Downtown Stockton Lions club and 
the Cathay Club.
John was the cherished father of Barbara and Dr. Roland Hong of San Francisco, 
Dr. Ronald Yep and Marcia of Spokane, WA, Frank Yep and Betty of Bonita, CA and 
Kent Yep and Patti of Stockton; he is the proud grandfather of Terrence, Tisha 
and Garrick Hong, Krista and Stefanie Yep, Corrin in Yep Solat and Marshall and 
Derek Yep. John will forever be remembered for his love, compassion, humor, 
wisdom and immense generosity. His brilliant and radiant smile will live on in 
our hearts.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service in his honor on Saturday, 
April 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Mark's United Methodist Church, (306 East 
Clay St., Stockton, CA). The inurnment will be a private ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Mark's United 
Methodist Church, Jene Wah Incorporated (238 East Church Street, Stockton, CA 
95203) or to your favorite charity.
