Mrs. Zelmer Passes Away
   Mrs. Karolina Zelmer, 81, of 440 Hilborn St., passed away early Tuesday 
evening in a local hospital.
   The daughter of the late Peter and Karolina Hagel, Mrs. Zelmer was born 
March 16, 1873 at Kassel, South Russia.
   In May of 1894, Mrs. Zelmer came to the United States with her parents and 
settled in Eureka, S.D.  In 1895, she was married to Jacob Roth, who preceded 
her in death in 1944.
   On August 16, 1945, she was married to Adam Zelmer who now survives.  Mrs. 
Zelmer had been a resident of Lodi for the past eight years.
   She is survived by her husband, Adam, nine children, Mrs. Lydia Hummel, 
Venturia, N.D,; Christ Roth, Venturia, N.D.; Mrs. Katie Neuharth, Eureka, 
S.D.;  Jake Roth, Venturia, N.D.; Mrs. Christine Quatier, Wishek, N.D.; John 
J. Roth, Kintyre, N.D.; August Roth, Moses Lake, Wash.; Mrs. Eldina Dormaier, 
Yakima, Wash.
  Two brothers, Henry Hagel, Wishek, N.D.; and Jacob Hagel, Bismarck, N.D.; 
one sister, Mrs. Eva Aipperspach, Tappen, N.D.; also survive.
   There are also 28 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
   Funeral services are pending at East-Pine Funeral Home.

Mrs, Karolina Zelmer
   Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon from the First 
Baptist Church with the Rev. G.G. Rauser officiating.  Entombment will follow 
in the family crypt at Lodi Memorial Mausoleum under the direction of the East-
Pine Funeral Home.
