Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net September 14, 2004, 11:51 pm “Winters Express,” Thursday, July 4, 1991 Mary Ann Aguiar Mary Ann Aguiar dies after a long illness A Memorial Mass was said at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Tuesday morning for Mary Ann Aguiar who died in Woodland Memorial Hospital Saturday, June 29, after a long illness. Rosary services were held Monday evening at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Father Eugene Lucas officiated at the services. Private family inurnment services will be held at Winters Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. Aguiar was born and raised in San Luis Obispo. She was 59. A graduate of “Old Mission Parochial School” in San Luis Obispo, Mrs. Aguiar moved to Winters with her husband when he was hired as the Winters High School agriculture teacher 34 years ago. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Winters and a member of its Altar Society. She taught catechism classes at the church for 20 years. She was also a member of Soroptimist International of Winters. Mrs. Aguiar is survived by her husband, Joseph F. Aguiar of Winters and four children: Cecilia Curry of Winters; Vincent Aguiar of Tempe, Arizona; Matthew Aguiar of Temecula; and John Aguiar of Winters. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas De La Rosa of San Bruno; three sisters: Rae Duenas of San Jose, Norma Dawsor of Hermosa Beach, and Bina Harrison of San Luis Obispo; and five grandchildren: Megan Curry and Elizabeth Curry, both of Winters; Kacey Aguiar and Sara Mary Ann Aguiar, both of Temecula; and Alexander Aguiar of Tempe, Arizona. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Mary Ann Aguiar Memorial Fund, in care of the First Northern Bank of Dixon, Winters Branch, 48 Main Street, Winters, CA 95694.
