HAYS — At Hagerstown, Maryland, Feb, 5, 1910, Mrs. S. S. Hays widow of the late 
Dr. W. W. Hays of this city, aged 70 years, 5 months and 22 days.

Buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland.

Obituary in the Mail (Hagerstown, MD), February 11, 1910:

"Mrs. S.S. HAYS died at her home on Summit Avenue at the age of 70 years, 
Saturday.

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Edward Galiard, Creston, Ca.; Mrs. J. 
B. Kieffer, this city; Miss Helen A. Hayes, this city; two brothers, Rev. Dr. 
Leighton Parks, rector of St. Barthomew's in New York; and Rev. Dr. J. Lewis 
Parks, rector of Calvary Church, same city; sister, Miss Mattie Parks. here.

Services were held at St. John's Episcopal Church; interment was in Rose Hill 
Cemetery."
