(From Tuesday’s Daily.) All that was mortal of the late Charles Nolan was laid to rest in the Odd Fellows cemetery yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted at St. Stephen’s Episcopal church by Rev. Mr. Couper and were largely attended by sorrowing friends. Deceased was a member of the Elks and the Knights of Pythias and delegations from both lodges attended in a body at the church and marched as an escort to the cemetery. At the grave after a prayer by Rev. Mr. Couper, the ritualistic service of the Elks was carried out. The funeral director Mr. M. F. Crandell had provided a casket which was covered with royal purple plush, the color of the Order of Elks. The casket bore the silver emblems of the Knights of Pythias and the Elks. The pall bearers were F. C. Mitchell, H. M. Moore and M. F. Dorsey representing the Elks and J. U. Hollister, J. E. Lewis and W. A. Henderson the Knights of Pythias.
