H. Soest, a chemist. The brick building stands next to the once-world-famous Paso Robles Bath House. 5oest was issued a special permit for the use of the sulphur spring water running under the bathhouse. He boiled the water in big vats for mineral extract and bottled it. The bottled mineral water was sold to various drugstores, predominately in the Los Angeles area. In 1943 Soest sold the building to a couple who used it for living quarters. The bottom floor was remodeled into rooms instead of the original garage area. In 1953 Leigh and Isabel Alley purchased the building v for use as a physical therapy clinic and residence. Today Isabel Alley operates the clinic alone, providing mineral baths, massages, colonic, whirlpool and ultra sound services for the various types of physical conditions of her patients.
