There was a happy gathering Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Biown. below town, when their daughter, Miss Bertie Johnson, became the wife of Seth H. Bell. The ceremony was at noon in the prettily decorated parlor, the young couple standing under a large bell of smilax and orange blossoms. Rev. H. C. Cockrum, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating. The bride’s dress was a handsome pearl grey silk sublime and she wore orange blossoms in her hair. Mrs. Wilbur Phillips played the wedding march. Between sixty and seventy relatives and near friends of the bride and groom were present. After the ceremony and congratulations the company sat down to an elegant dinner. That evening a merry crowd went down to the Brown home and charivaried the bride and groom and gave them a rice shower when they appeared. Mr. and Mrs. Bell will have rooms at the home of the grooms parents. Mr. and Mrs. E. Bell, who held a reception Thursday for them.
