John E. Dowell, 83, 228 East Ave., San Bruno, died Wednesday. He was a retired 
laborer for the E.T. Haas Construction Co., and a member of the Laborer's Union 
Local 369 San Mateo. A native of Missouri. He had lived in the area for 26 
years. Survivors include his widow Elda; three daughters who live in San Bruno. 
Thelma Drenon, Lucille Vogel, and Mildred Shunk. A brother Soud Dowell of 
Kansas City, MO.; a sister Omah Mills of Mission,Kansas;three grandchildren and 
six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held today at San Bruno Funeral 
Home in San Bruno. Interment followed at Skylawn Memorial Park.
