Sacramento Daily Union, October 31, 1870
“NEWS OF THE MORNING.

Tod Robinson, for many years eminent in this State as a lawyer of much ability 
and literary culture, died near Crystal Springs, San Mateo county, on Saturday 
morning [October 29], aged 58 years.” END

Tod Robinson Jr. was born in 1812 in North Carolina.  He and his family were in 
California [San Francisco?] prior to 1853.
