Mrs. Harriett P. Harrison Dies Following An Illness of Two Weeks. Mrs. Harriet P. Harrison, wife of Elmer Harrison of 1625 State street, died in a local hospital yesterday morning. She had been ill for a fortnight, and a week ago submitted to an operation from which she was believed to be recovering. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison came to Santa Barbara several years ago from Colorado Springs, Mr. Harrison taking a position in the office of The Morning Press. The family had previously lived in Seattle for 23 years. Mrs. Harrison was born in Montour, Iowa, 65 years ago. Besides her husband she leaves two children: a son, Walter B. Harrison of Seattle; and a daughter, Mrs. Eva Belle Evers of Santa Barbara; and a sister, Mrs. Madison Cart of Des Moines, Iowa. Arrangements for the funeral will be announced by Eppel & Kurtz." Harriett Grace Poyneer was the daughter of Edward Moore Poyneer and Mary Elizabeth (Blaine) Poyneer. She married Elmer Ellsworth Harrison, son of William Henry Harrison and Orpha Ann (Carrell) Harrison, on May 25, 1892 in Montour, Tama county, Iowa. They are buried in the Goleta Cemetery.
