Philip Grosvenor Jones, born 3 October 1904, died 20 December 1976 in Goleta, 
Santa Barbara County, California.

Additional Comments:
Philip Grosvenor Jones, born in Croydon, Surrey, England 3 October 1904. Son 
of Charles Arthur Jones and Eugenie Genik.  He arrived with his parents and 
siblings in Goleta from Winnipeg, Canada in 1916 and lived on his parents' 
walnut ranch on the corner of Fairview and the Highway 101. After two years 
attending the Santa Barbara Teacher's College in 1926, he went to work for 
Standard Oil Company, first as a station attendant, then as an accountant, 
which position he held until retirement. He married twice and had four 
children. He died in Goleta on 20 December 1976 and is buried next to his 
second wife, Elvyra Beck Jones, and his sister, Winifred Robina Estey. Philip 
was a member of the Magnolia Lodge, Masonic Temple since 1949.
